Dall-E
DALL·E, DALL·E 2, and DALL·E 3 are text-to-image models developed by OpenAI using deep learning methodologies to generate digital images from natural language descriptions, called “prompts.”
Sora
Sora is a text-to-video model developed by the U.S.-based artificial intelligence research organization OpenAI. It can generate videos based on descriptive prompts, extend existing videos forwards or backwards in time, and generate videos from still images.
Gemini (Bard)
Gemini, formerly known as Bard, is a generative artificial intelligence chatbot developed by Google. Based on the large language model (LLM) of the same name and developed as a direct response to the meteoric rise of OpenAI’s ChatGPT. It was previously based on PaLM, and initially the LaMDA family of large language models.
Copilot
Microsoft Copilot is a chatbot developed by Microsoft and launched on February 7, 2023. Based on a large language model, it is able to cite sources, create poems, and write songs. It is Microsoft’s primary replacement for the discontinued Cortana.
Krea
Krea upscale and enhance is an AI upscaler, meaning that it uses artificial intelligence to recreate visual content in higher resolutions. The Krea AI creative suite includes both AI image and AI video tools, such as the new upscaling tool.
Midjourney
Midjourney is a generative artificial intelligence program and service created and hosted by the San Francisco–based independent research lab Midjourney, Inc. Midjourney generates images from natural language descriptions, called prompts, similar to OpenAI’s DALL-E and Stability AI’s Stable Diffusion.
