Hello Canberra innovators! If you’re building something tangible like a device, tool, product, or piece of equipment, and want support in figuring out how to make it work, make sense, and sell, this workshop is for you.
The Canberra Innovation Network is hosting a hands-on workshop on Wednesday 15 October (3–5pm) to help local innovators bring their product ideas to life.
In this session we’ll cover:
- Why prototyping matters, and where it’s most useful.
- Which techniques are appropriate for your product and project phase.
- How to move from a rough idea to something you can test, manufacture, and pitch.
- Common mistakes early founders make, and how to avoid them.
- Where to start if you’ve never built a physical product before.
you’ll also:
- Get an understanding of industrial design and physical product development disciplines.
- Learn about the Prototype Voucher Program (up to $10k available) https://lnkd.in/g28kT4mg
- Get connected to Canberra’s many prototyping facilities, funding, and expert support

I’m Ashley from Extra Nice Projects, and I’ll be running this workshop. We work with founders, inventors, and entrepreneurs to turn ideas into real, physical products that are desirable, useful and commercially successful.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
